Melted Bratz Doll PT2 - Navigating NDA Nightmares

February 08, 2024 Chris Bone Season 2 Episode 3

Ever found yourself at a crossroads between heartache and humor? Join Brookey and me as we weave through the labyrinth of marriage dissolution, spiced up with both laughter and lessons learned. In a tale that's part confession, part therapy session, I finally dish out the last chapter of my own divorce saga, complete with the haunting silence of a New Year's Eve spent apart and the strings attached to financial power plays. We swap stories about the quest for a good therapist – because, let's face it, finding one can be as tricky as the perfect hairdresser. And for those considering "I do" take two, we offer some wit-infused wisdom that might just make you believe in the unlikely phrase "happily ever after."

But there's more beneath the surface, as we flip the script to the shadowy realm of non-disclosure agreements. We dissect the curious case of Ms. Braddall and her dalliance with a renowned legal eagle whose wings just might get clipped due to NDA indiscretions. As we navigate the murky waters of NDA violations and the haunting afterlife of reputations on the line, you'll be privy to a rare glimpse into a world where secrets are currency – and breaking the silence can cost more than just a fee. Tighten up those earbuds; this is one episode that promises to be as revealing as it is riveting.

Speaker 1:

What's up, boners? Alright, we're back. Okay, so I'll just so. Brookey had more questions and so we had to, but she's back.

Speaker 2:

Part two Should I start with the questions, or should I start with my story that I never finished?

Speaker 1:

About your divorce. Yes, so what has been again the only one Thanks. So we'll wrap up that and we'll go into Q&A. So long story short.

Speaker 2:

Our marriage started fading. We weren't even like talking anymore.

Speaker 1:

It was fucking falling apart.

Speaker 2:

It was done. It was done. Everything was ruined. My life was over, and it was, I guess, new Year's Eve and I was so sick of a shit I didn't even. I was like I'm going to hang out at Johnny's house and I did, and we hung out all night and I slept there and guess what? My ex didn't even ask how my night was.

Speaker 1:

That's terrible.

Speaker 2:

And that's when I realized everything's over and like I didn't even feel guilty.

Speaker 1:

Did you know that you even left the house?

Speaker 2:

Yes, he even knew I slept out.

Speaker 1:

No, I was going to say one thing if he didn't even know, you fucking left. No, he knew. Can you imagine?

Speaker 2:

He didn't even know you were. Well, where'd you go? It's been four days.

Speaker 1:

You've been gone the whole time. Oh my god, it's been four years. Maybe he takes ambient.

Speaker 2:

That's exactly what he does.

Speaker 1:

Another reason he just sucks. He has no leads.

Speaker 2:

You know, I look back now and I'm like, you know, we just weren't right for each other. I was still in the party mode, like I said, learned that from the last relationship I just got out of because he was so fucking abusive and I was like, oh, I didn't really have it that bad, we just were pieces of shit to each other. This guy was the worst. So, yeah, lesson learned, many lessons learned, but yeah so.

Speaker 1:

How long were we together? Total.

Speaker 2:

Total, we were together for like five years.

Speaker 1:

And you were married for three of them.

Speaker 2:

No, we were married for one of them.

Speaker 1:

Oh, just one Okay.

Speaker 2:

And that was like the worst of our relationship.

Speaker 1:

After you got married.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Maybe he knew he could get away with anything at that point.

Speaker 2:

I think he also was like terrified of me because I was still like partying and having a good time. I didn't want to settle down and just do nothing every night. And he was in like money saving mode and I was like cool, we can still have a life. But we didn't. And he started like making me give him all of my money because I was spending it all on partying but I was making more money than he was. And that was when I was like I feel like I'm in jail, right you gotta give him your check Shit.

Speaker 2:

Dude, I was being paid. It was during. When was it? It was like right before. Yeah, it was way before COVID. Right before COVID, actually, I was working as like a nanny and an assistant. I was getting paid 30 an hour cash like chilling you know it was great to do basically nothing.

Speaker 1:

Right, run your errands and watch some kids.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was great. It was like the best setup, but better off now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But now.

Speaker 1:

Me too.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think, and like I don't even know about your first, are you talking about marriage right now?

Speaker 1:

Oh, my first marriage.

Speaker 2:

I thought you were saying like, you're better off too, like oh yeah, I mean, nothing bad happened.

Speaker 1:

It was kind of similar to yours, like we just stopped talking and I don't know. I guess I fell out of love. Maybe he did too. I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it sounds like.

Speaker 1:

We don't. We've never actually discussed it. It was so transactional in the end that there was not, like We'd never had that conversation of like this is it, and you know, do we want to talk about where it went wrong?

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

And we just, I guess, decided we never did.

Speaker 2:

We, like, we went to a therapist who's now my therapist and I just absolutely adore her.

Speaker 1:

Tamara Bloom. If anyone needs one, who?

Speaker 2:

Tamara Bloom.

Speaker 1:

Tamara.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Hmm.

Speaker 2:

Why are we humming Tamara?

Speaker 1:

No, I just got a new therapist. That's great, but when I was shopping it was hell.

Speaker 2:

It is hard to find good help in all the ways.

Speaker 1:

All the ways, especially therapy, though.

Speaker 2:

Therapy and cleaning people.

Speaker 1:

You spend weeks interviewing the same type of therapist. Yeah, Fuck yeah when is one of them gonna tell me that I'm perfect? None of you were helping me. Just tell me I'm pretty imperfect.

Speaker 2:

Someone lied to me for a hundred, whatever dollars an hour. Please.

Speaker 1:

Literally, but no, my marriage just ended. I mean honestly, though it could be worse.

Speaker 2:

We went to a therapy session one time. We sat there and by the end of it Tamara didn't even really talk for real. He and I just talked by the way I go, do we both want a divorce? He's like, yeah, I was like all right and we stood up, we gave each other a hug, we walked out of the office, we gave each other a hug again, we cried and then I went and got lunch and he did whatever.

Speaker 1:

You could have had your own little show on HBO.

Speaker 2:

How exciting would that have been. Drama free.

Speaker 1:

Stories of a divorce.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, ours is a little. He didn't know about all the bad stuff, so oh, that's probably good. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

You guys, if you're not on your second husband yet, I recommend it.

Speaker 2:

Well, I'm in the process of maybe.

Speaker 1:

Maybe they get better as the numbers get higher.

Speaker 2:

That's what keeps my dad going. He's a divorce attorney. Hey, if you all need divorce.

Speaker 1:

I'm not gonna put him on last year because I'll give myself away, but he's a good one. Actually, what's his name? I'm kidding. We'll discuss it later.

Speaker 2:

Well, I had a link at the end.

Speaker 1:

I love a good litigator.

Speaker 2:

He's a mediator. Oh, he's better, yeah, he's not into the whole getting people to hate each other vibe that's what he's saying. He's very much like let's approach this as like a therapeutic situation that we are just. We're gonna have better situation for everybody.

Speaker 1:

So he does like both people.

Speaker 2:

Yes, but he will mainly represent one and then another you know, and then the other person's lawyer comes in and the mediation begins.

Speaker 1:

Got it, got it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so it's just like more peaceful. Also, it's cheaper for people and that's nice because most lawyers don't do that Right.

Speaker 1:

usually it's like all right, let's dot your assets.

Speaker 2:

Literally, and then it's like let's go to court and I know everyone gets paid for that you know, and let's have a million different assistants on this, and they get billed hourly too.

Speaker 1:

If they get paid too.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm so.

Speaker 1:

So annoying.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, so everyone keep getting married and divorced Makes the bills paid.

Speaker 1:

It gets makes the world go around.

Speaker 2:

Makes my birthday presents exciting.

Speaker 1:

We don't want her getting gift cards to Walmart oh my god, I will literally just throw it away.

Speaker 2:

Throw it away, see myself out. Throw it away, fuck you.

Speaker 1:

Garbage. I'm not even going. I'm not even going to go to their website. Oh fuck, no Free delivery. Hold on a minute, the box will show up.

Speaker 2:

Never thought about Shelf-Round Line at Walmart, so I think you just opened a door for me.

Speaker 1:

But then like what if they deliver cockroaches or bed bugs?

Speaker 2:

I feel an insurance claim coming my way, so I'm okay with that too.

Speaker 1:

Please, walmart, mail your shit.

Speaker 2:

Walmart, mail me some used ass shit.

Speaker 1:

Walmart.

Speaker 2:

All the Walmart's. Any of you guys out there?

Speaker 1:

Alright what questions did you have then To clarify? Okay, so, regarding Ms Braddall, she's this is going to be good if it's taking this long to get it out.

Speaker 2:

Because I'm trying not to say things to where legal You're like. Excuse me.

Speaker 1:

Do you want a text to take?

Speaker 2:

me, okay, the guy that she has an NDA with. And, if you ask me, are there multiple yes?

Speaker 1:

Everyone's got an NDA.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I'm just going to say this then.

Speaker 1:

Do you want to text me the question?

Speaker 2:

No, no, no. This is like my thought on it and it's just like bitchy and I just have always thought about this and now I get to share it.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

And speak it into existence. What would happen if that person found out that Braddstall has broken the NDA?

Speaker 1:

Oh, are we talking about the ones with the PJ, or are we talking about the private jet?

Speaker 2:

Oh, I believe so he also practices law, or did?

Speaker 1:

Oh, I don't know that one then.

Speaker 2:

That's a good one.

Speaker 1:

I think I know who you're talking about actually, but who was the PJ person? They own car dealerships.

Speaker 2:

Wasn't that the husband?

Speaker 1:

I don't know. There's so many of them I can't keep up.

Speaker 2:

Do we need to make a diagram? It ended up being a knot.

Speaker 1:

No, so wait what NDA did. What rule did she break?

Speaker 2:

First of all, I shouldn't know about the NDA considering number one, probably true, yes, like number one of NDAs. You don't discuss the NDA. That's not this cool, which everyone breaks, obviously. And then I have specific details.

Speaker 1:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

You know what I mean. So here's where my brain went. My intrusive thoughts are just gonna like show they're gonna be bright right now, we're just gonna accept them and that's sick. But like I'm like, what could I get from that? You know what I mean. So she wants to fuck with my reputation or whatever Cause. Like I do know she said like some shit about me, but it wasn't until anyone.

Speaker 1:

Has she moved on?

Speaker 2:

To other men.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, is she terrorizing like new people now these days, you think?

Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm sure. How do you think she's living the way she's living?

Speaker 1:

Well, no, I'm sure. But I mean, do you think that she still talks about you? I mean cause I don't know for sure if she's stopped talking about me.

Speaker 2:

I don't think that there's any reason to talk about me. I don't go out, what's what?

Speaker 1:

I'm saying Like what Talk about me either, like I haven't done shit.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the only and like the only time she talked about you is to me, because I, like I believe.

Speaker 1:

I asked, I asked.
